AboUt MAXI - Trauma & Attachment Therapist

I believe there is a self within us that is never lost, only covered by what we’ve had to carry.

Hi there, I’m Maxi

Maybe you're beginning to wonder if life could feel different than this.

I believe that many of the struggles we carry make sense when viewed through the lens of our relationships and life experiences. Patterns like people-pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, self-criticism, or putting others first often develop for good reasons. At one point, they may have helped us stay connected, feel accepted, or cope with difficult experiences. Over time, however, they can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and unsure of who we are beneath them.My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not about fixing yourself. It is about reconnecting with who you have always been.

I see what you are carrying. I’m here to help you:

  • Understand how past experiences have shaped the patterns you struggle with today

  • Identify and change coping strategies that keep you stuck

  • Build greater self-trust, confidence, and clarity in your decisions and relationships

  • Develop a stronger sense of self so you can live with more authenticity, and choice

What Therapy with me looks like

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can turn inward, reconnect with yourself, and create lasting change that feels aligned with who you truly are.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we create enough safety to reconnect with ourselves. Rather than fixing what is wrong, therapy becomes a space to access the wisdom, resilience, and capacity for healing that already exists within you.

Having worked as an osteopathic manual therapist for the past decade, I bring a strong appreciation for the connection between mind and body. Many of the clients I work with have spent years trying to think their way out of their struggles. While insight is important, lasting change often happens when we also work with the brain, nervous system, and deeper patterns that shape how we move through the world.

Rather than following a rigid formula, I draw from attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and nervous-system-based approaches, including EMDR, the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), parts work, and somatic therapy. Together, we tailor the process to your unique needs, creating enough safety to explore what no longer serves you and move toward a greater sense of connection, clarity, and self-trust.

My Values

My work is grounded in:

Authenticity

I show up as I am — grounded, human, and present. Therapy is a space where you are welcomed as you are, without pressure to perform, explain perfectly, or be anyone else.

Safety

Emotional safety is foundational. I honor your pace, your boundaries, and the wisdom of your nervous system. You never have to go anywhere you're not ready to go.

Curiosity

I believe that even our most painful patterns make sense when we understand where they come from. Together, we gently explore without blame or shame.

Collaboration

Therapy is a shared process. I listen closely to your experience and work alongside you, adjusting, responding, and shaping the work together as your needs become clearer.

Therapy with me may be right for you if…

You are thoughtful, self-aware, and often the person others rely on.

You’ve likely spent years trying to understand yourself—reading the books, listening to the podcasts, and doing your best to work through things on your own.

Yet despite your insight, you still find yourself stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from yourself, or longing for a deeper sense of ease in your life and relationships.

Many of the people I work with are navigating the impact of relational wounds, attachment injuries, life transitions, or longstanding patterns that no longer serve them.

They are not looking for quick fixes. They are looking to understand themselves more deeply, create meaningful change, and reconnect with who they are underneath the roles, expectations, and adaptations they have carried for so long.

If you're looking for a therapist who combines warmth, curiosity, and a strong mind-body perspective, this work may be a good fit for you.
