CRM therapy in Calgary and online
A deeply gentle approach that honours the foundations before processing trauma
You want to heal. But something in you isn't sure it's safe to go there yet.
That hesitation makes complete sense. When we've been through difficult things, a part of us learns to stay guarded — because at some point, that guardedness was exactly what we needed. CRM begins by honouring that, not pushing past it.

You know there are things you'd like to work through. But every time you get close, something in you pulls back. You've heard that therapy can bring things up — and you're not sure you're ready to be destabilised in the process.

When difficult feelings arise, it can feel like there's nowhere safe to go inside yourself. No anchor. No place to return to. The emotional intensity can feel like too much to manage.
-
Maybe you've done therapy before and found it left you more raw than when you started. You want something different — an approach that honours the pace of your nervous system, not one that pushes past it.

There's a part of you that wants to be close, to trust, to feel held. And another part that braces, or pulls away, or waits for things to go wrong. CRM works gently with exactly that — the need for safety and connection, and everything that gets in the way.
What becomes possible when you have a felt sense of safety to come back to — no matter what.
A growing sense of inner safety — a place inside yourself that feels stable and grounding
The ability to process difficult experiences without becoming overwhelmed by them
Deeper capacity for connection — with yourself and with others
Less reactivity to old triggers, as your nervous system begins to feel more settled
A sense of being held — by your own inner resources, not just by external circumstances
I believe deep trauma work requires a foundation. CRM helps us build that foundation before anything else.
The Comprehensive Resource Model is unlike many trauma approaches in one important way — we resource before we process. Using imagery, the wisdom of the body, and a deep attunement to your nervous system, we build internal anchors of safety and connection that you can access whenever you need them. Only from that grounded place do we gently approach what has been difficult to carry. I find CRM to be one of the most tender and respectful approaches I work with — it takes seriously the fact that your system needs to feel safe before it can heal. Sessions are slow, warm, and shaped entirely around what your nervous system is ready for.
If something in you is ready to heal but needs to feel safe enough to do so, I'd love to connect.
